Job DescriptionThe Volume Forecasting Manager will lead the medication volume forecast within the Parkinson's Disease Franchise. The position is responsible for developing accurate/timely projections of commercial product volumes for all Plan, LBE, LRP, and Actual submissions. The individual builds and maintains knowledge of the business through close communication across a variety of cross-functional partners including Executives, Marketing & Sales Management, Company and Commercial Finance.
ResponsibilitiesLead the development of accurate product sales projections for Plan, LBE, LRP, and Actual submissions, including market and competitive landscape forecasts, using sound analytical assumptions and clear communication of methodology and rationale in close collaboration with the Associate Director, Parkinson's Disease.
Partner with Commercial, Pricing, Finance, and Company teams to identify business issues and develop data-driven solutions.
Provide ad hoc analytical support for business needs, including product launch scenarios, channel and product mix impacts, and other key business drivers.
Lead enhancements that simplify and standardize financial models, processes, and forecasting deliverables to improve forecast accuracy and strengthen business analytics.
Own Parkinson's Disease forecasting consolidations, including actuals reporting, earnings deliverables, and commercial business reviews.
Manage and support the month-end actual close process, including preparation of Price, Pipeline, and Demand variance analyses and close commentary.
Support the communication of monthly actual sales results and future-period volume forecasts to Commercial Vice President and Finance leadership.
Partner with Operations through the
QualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.
A minimum of 6+ years combined experience in analytics, forecasting, and/or financial planning and analysis is required.
Must have strong analytical, technical, and problem-solving skills, along with good interpersonal skills to effectively work with all levels of management.
Ability to triangulate a wide variety of data sets and analytics (e.g., market research, competitive events, prescriptions, epidemiology, patient flow, etc.) to inform forecasting and financial impacts.
Agility to prioritize and quickly understand issues and assess data integrity is critical due to challenging deadlines.
High level proficiency with Excel & PowerPoint. Knowledge of SAP, BPC and PowerBI preferred.
Ability to work independently and self-starter, supporting the business and forecasting leadership in variety of locations.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities to meet deadlines in a fast-paced and matrixed environment.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Previous pharmaceutical and forecasting experience is preferred.
