The Finance & Pricing Directore conducts audits and reviews th examine how the Postal Service's activities, organizion, and policies rele to its stregic vision and mission. These audits and reviews focus on a variety of areas, including retirement and other long-term obligions, cash and liquidity, executive compension, accounting records and processes, and other areas of financial risk to the Postal Service. The directore also supports the independent public accountant in the annual audits of financial stements and internal controls over financial reporting, and issuing the opinion on the Postal Service's reclassified financial stements in support of the governmentwide financial stement audit. About the
Position:
As the Audit Manager, you will supervise the activities of staff engaged in performing audits and reviews th examine how the Postal Service's activities, organizion, and policies rele to its stregic vision and mission. As a successful candide, you will have relevant experience in: Managing staff responsible for performing financial and pricing and costing reled audits, evaluions, assessments, and/or reviews. Actively managing audit projects to ensure th professional standards are maintained throughout the planning, fieldwork, and reporting phases, including the accumulion and documention of evidentiary da th is technically sound and in accordance with OIG policies and procedures and Generally Accepted Government Auditing Standards (GAGAS). Preparing reports, correspondence, briefings, and other deliverables in a clear and concise manner so th audiences easily understand findings, conclusions, recommendions, or reled informion. Presenting oral briefings to management and other stakeholders. Communicing project stus and results to all levels, as needed, internally and externally, and advocing audit recommendions, and influence approval and implemention of agency-wide solutions and plans. Developing audit plans, including scheduling projects and staff assignments and manages budget to comply with the organizion's needs and reviewing and approving the objective, scope, methodology, da analysis and plan of each project. Conducting and overseeing research on complex audit issues involving major uncertainties in approach and interpretion. Functioning as a member in a high-performing team. Supervising, coaching, mentoring, and developing staff. Accomplishes results by communicing job expections; monitoring and appraising job results; addressing performance issues; and providing actionable feedback and career development opportunities. Establishing and maintaining productive working relionships and consistent professional communicions with Postal Service management and staff and other pertinent internal and external stakeholders. Providing leading critical thinking and audit and programmic knowledge, including identifying issues and determining innovive solutions; maintaining awareness of reled developments and trends; prioritizing work; and managing and summarizing da analysis. Ensuring team members meet acceptable standards for timeliness, accuracy, quality, and completeness. Reviewing working papers, reports, or other written products to ensure they are accure, timely, and clear. This position is being advertised the Manager Band level, equivalent to a GS-14. The salary range for this position is $143,504.00 - $191,504.00. The salary figures include locality pay. Qualificions Position Minimum Qualificions (Mandory) You must meet all the minimum qualificions listed below. Professional Experience (Mandory) Four (4) or more years of professional, full-time experience conducting and leading complex, multi-locion (organizion-wide) performance audits, evaluions, or similar oversight work performed in accordance with GAGAS an OIG or similar audit organizion. Your resume must reflect where, when, and how you gained this experience. Educion Requirement (Mandory) Degree in auditing or in a reled field (see below list for acceptable fields) such as business administrion, public administrion, or technically reled. (Transcripts Required) OR A combinion of educion and experience - four (4) years of professional, full-time experience conducting performance audits, evaluions, or similar oversight work, or an equivalent combinion of performance auditing experience, college-level educion, and training th provided professional auditing knowledge.
