Job Description
Position Overview:
- We're looking for a Cost & Margin Analyst who will take ownership of the company's product costs and what they can earn.
Job Type:
Full-timeResponsibilities:
- Maintain the fully loaded cost model across all SKUs; keep it current as material, freight, and labor inputs move. This is the single cost number the company runs on.
- Produce monthly SKU- and channel-level margin analysis; flag underpriced SKUs and mix erosion. The core hunt for hidden margin.
- Own UPC code creation & descriptions
- Own internal part numbers and maintain creation
IAPMO/NSF
Compliance; labeling, certifications, supplier cert verification for incoming goods- Execute customer quotes within the approved pricing architecture and margin floor; escalate below-floor deals to the CEO.
- Reconcile quoted vs. realized margin on closed deals — close the loop most companies leave open.
- Cost new products ahead of launch pricing decisions — the hook into product development.
- Track cost-reduction initiatives and report savings against target.
- Monitor discount & rebate compliance across channels — police that dealer margins and the discount architecture hold in practice, not just on paper.
- Partner with Engineering on BOM accuracy & change control — own the bill-of-materials cost integrity, translate BOM changes into cost and price changes, and drive toward a centralized costing/quoting tool (e.g. Katana) that keeps all product costs in one source of truth.
