Accounting Manager Overview:
Leads the team responsible for transaction review, billing, pricing and cost accuracy, customer statements, rebate and special-pricing administration, ERP item maintenance, and recurring sales and month-end reporting. The role partners with Sales, Purchasing, Operations, and Finance to maintain reliable data, resolve discrepancies, support timely invoicing, and strengthen financial and operational controls.
In this role you will:
Lead, coach, and prioritize the daily work of department employees; establish service standards, monitor workload, provide feedback, and support employee development. Oversee the review of sales tickets, orders, and related transactions for pricing, cost, item, customer, and vendor accuracy before billing or downstream processing. Ensure customer invoices and statements are issued accurately and on schedule. Partner with Purchasing, Sales, and Operations to maintain accurate item, pricing, cost, customer, and vendor information in the ERP system. Administer customer rebates, vendor rebates, special pricing agreements, and other pricing programs. Prepare and review recurring reports for sales leadership and management as assigned. Support month-end close activities by preparing reporting requested by the Finance leader or other general accounting tasks as needed. Identify opportunities to improve workflow, data quality, reporting, and cross-functional communication while balancing accuracy, timeliness, and customer service. Protect confidential company, customer, vendor, and employee information and follow records-retention and data-security requirements. Perform other related duties consistent with the role's purpose and level of responsibility. What you bring to the table: High school diploma or GED Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field preferred. Three or more years of progressively responsible experience in accounting operations preferred. Experience in billing, pricing, sales or purchasing support, accounting operations, or a related business function. Experience leading employees, coordinating team workflow, or serving as a functional lead. Working knowledge of general accounting concepts Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including sorting, filtering, formulas, and data review. Ability to communicate clearly and respectfully by phone, email, and in person.
Shift and Hours:
Monday - Friday, 7:00am - 4:00pm.
Compensation Details:
The expected starting rate of pay for this position is $52,000 annually, depending on experience.
