Job Description

The Pricing Analyst is responsible for supporting pricing strategies and processes that contribute to margin stability, profitability, and competitive market positioning. The role works closely with Sales, Purchasing, Finance, and other cross-functional teams to analyze pricing opportunities, maintain pricing data, and ensure accurate execution of pricing programs. The Pricing Analyst provides analytical support for pricing decisions, contract reviews, quotations, and price adjustments while helping to identify risks and opportunities related to ingredient costs, customer pricing, and market conditions. This position also supports continuous improvement of pricing tools, methodologies, and processes to enhance effectiveness and efficiency.
Primary Responsibilities:
Analyze pricing data to identify opportunities to improve sales performance and profitability. Support the sales team by providing pricing recommendations and analytical insights for customer opportunities. Collaborate with cross-functional teams on pricing and system-related projects. Assist in identifying and implementing process improvements related to pricing activities. Monitor ingredient cost trends and support analysis of pricing impacts and business risks. Partner with Purchasing to support ingredient cost planning for customer contracts and pricing programs. Determine and maintain customer pricing based on ingredient cost changes, market fluctuations, and established pricing guidelines. Respond to pricing inquiries and assist in resolving pricing discrepancies. Conduct pricing and market benchmark analyses to support competitive positioning. Support efforts to simplify pricing processes and reduce manual transactions and pricing exceptions. Prepare pricing analyses and quotations for Sales and Sales Management. Perform margin and profitability analysis to support business decisions. Maintain and update commercial price lists and pricing records. Execute daily pricing administration activities in a timely and accurate manner. Support implementation and monitoring of price adjustments and new product pricing. Maintain pricing databases and assist with system testing, validation, and enhancement initiatives. Generate reports and perform ad hoc analyses as needed. Assist users with pricing system questions and basic issue resolution.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree; Preferably in Business, Finance, Statistics, Computer Science 3 years' experience in finance, pricing, analytics, or a related field is preferred. Relevant experience through internships, co-op programs, or academic projects will be considered Experience gathering, analyzing, and interpreting data. Strong Microsoft Excel skills and experience working with large datasets. Analytical mindset with the ability to translate findings into actionable recommendations. Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities. Effective written and verbal communication skills. Experience preparing reports, presentations, and business analyses. Working knowledge of ERP, CRM, or pricing systems is preferred. Attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy. Food industry knowledge is a plus.

Compensation:
Annual compensation based on skills and experience ranging from $69,800-$100,338/year. ​ Additional compensation earned through a 5% targeted annual bonus. Amount based on personal and company performance. ​
