This role is primarily responsible for customer pricing, bid management, and pricing analytics while also supporting carrier procurement efforts to strengthen our transportation network. The ideal candidate combines strong analytical skills with the ability to build carrier relationships, negotiate competitive transportation rates, and support strategic growth initiatives. Core Responsibilities Pricing & Analytics (Primary Focus) Organize and prioritize customer RFP requests within CRM and ensure all bid data is accurate and current. Manage the bid lifecycle including RFP preparation, pricing, customer awards, and contract implementation. Analyze customer bid opportunities using internal and external market intelligence to develop competitive and profitable pricing strategies. Work closely with Operations and Sales to provide timely spot quotes that maximize revenue while remaining competitive. Create, maintain, and analyze pricing reports, dashboards, audits, and business intelligence reporting. Support pricing strategy development through data analysis, market trends, and profitability reviews. Manage daily spot quote activity, responding to customer requests with competitive, profitable pricing while meeting customer response time expectations. Ensure customer contracts, tariffs, and pricing information remain accurate and are effectively communicated across the organization. Carrier Development & Procurement (Secondary Focus) Recruit, qualify, and onboard new carrier partners to support network growth. Build and maintain strong carrier relationships to improve capacity, service, and long-term partnerships. Negotiate carrier rates while balancing service quality, capacity, and profitability. Maintain an active carrier pipeline and assist with strategic carrier sourcing initiatives. Monitor transportation market conditions and provide carrier and market intelligence to support pricing decisions. Assist with carrier participation during customer RFPs and bid events. Track carrier performance and collaborate with Operations to address service issues and improve KPIs. Ensure carriers meet company compliance requirements including insurance, safety, and regulatory standards. Collaboration Partner with Sales, Operations, Customer Service, and Procurement to support customer growth and operational excellence. Identify opportunities to improve pricing processes, reporting, and operational efficiency. Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned. Professional Qualifications & Experience Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, Finance, Economics, or a related field preferred. 2-4 years of experience in transportation pricing, logistics, carrier procurement, or transportation operations. Transportation or third-party logistics (3PL) experience preferred. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines simultaneously. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding customer and company information. Experience with Transportation Management Systems (TMS), CRM platforms, and Microsoft Power BI preferred. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills required (Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, formulas, data analysis). Characteristics for Success Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail.
