A global trading company is seeking a Senior Manager - Sales & Trading to contribute to department financial and business goals by servicing existing accounts and driving new business development. You will lead business development, scale international accounts, and manage supply chains across specialty, organic, and inorganic chemicals ( C5 resins, DCPD, solvents, glass media, fertilizers, and supplements etc .) 1. New Business Development & Account Management Identify and contact new customers and vendors to conduct sales presentations and promote new products and services. Maintain and expand existing business while contributing to broader departmental business development goals beyond assigned accounts. Maintain close communication with customers regarding product details, pricing, and credit terms. 2. Market Intelligence & Strategic Growth Identify market trends, supply-demand changes, and strategic business opportunities to support company growth objectives. Manage multi-regional international trading activities, including commercial negotiations and risk management. 3. Commercial Negotiations & Contract Execution Manage pricing and negotiate purchase/sales conditions with suppliers and customers. Calculate cost models using Incoterms to generate accurate price quotes and offers. Prepare and issue sales contracts, purchase orders, price quotations, and required trade documentation. 4. Supply Chain, Logistics & Inventory Control Oversee all logistics, including shipping arrangements, delivery tracking, and document preparation, to ensure timely product delivery. Inform customers of delivery issues or delays and resolve operational challenges to maintain high customer satisfaction. Investigate and resolve complex customer complaints and order discrepancies, collaborating with the Director and negotiating solutions with suppliers or clients. Maintain proper inventory levels and ensure accurate recordkeeping. 5. Credit Management & Risk Control Establish and renew customer credit limits. Monitor credit limits and accounts receivable regularly, following up on outstanding payments to avoid credit violations. 6. Team Supervision & Administrative Reporting Supervise a Sales Assistant to ensure accurate ledger entries and proper sales/purchase document preparation. Prepare monthly business and performance reports. Accomplish related results to support overall team effort.
Qualifications & Skill Requirements:
Experience:
5+ years of prior experience in sales and marketing, preferably in Chemicals, with solid product knowledge.
Full-Cycle Capability:
Demonstrated ability to manage all aspects of commercial transactions, from market analysis and negotiation to logistics management and credit control.
Trade Knowledge:
Working knowledge of Incoterms and cost calculation methodologies to build quotes/offers for clients and suppliers.
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Business, any related field of study, or equivalent work experience.
Financial Acumen:
Basic knowledge of accounting principles and credit risk management.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Organizational Attributes:
Strong time management, organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills; ability to meet deadlines and maintain confidential information.
Licensure & Travel:
Valid driver's license and willingness to travel for business.
