Job Description

Job Overview AAG is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Real Estate Appraiser to support transportation, utility, and infrastructure projects throughout Florida. This position is responsible for preparing valuation analyses, real estate appraisals, and right-of-way cost estimates for public and private projects. The ideal candidate will have experience in real estate valuation and an interest in infrastructure and right-of-way projects. Candidates with FDOT experience, right-of-way appraisal experience, or cost estimating experience are strongly preferred; however, candidates with strong appraisal backgrounds looking to expand into these areas are encouraged to apply. This position offers the opportunity to work alongside experienced right-of-way professionals, engineers, surveyors, and project managers on high-profile projects across Florida. Duties & Responsibilities Prepare real estate appraisals and valuation analyses for acquisition and infrastructure projects. Develop right-of-way cost estimates for fee acquisitions, easements, and other property interests. Conduct property inspections and market research. Analyze market data, comparable sales, and property impacts to support valuation conclusions. Review right-of-way maps, plats, surveys, legal descriptions, and engineering plans. Assist in evaluating damages, benefits, and cost-to-cure recommendations associated with property acquisitions. Prepare clear, concise, and defensible appraisal reports and supporting documentation. Collaborate with project managers, acquisition agents, engineers, surveyors, and clients. Participate in project meetings, field reviews, and client presentations. Maintain accurate project files and documentation in accordance with company and client requirements. Stay current with appraisal methodologies, market trends, and industry standards. Support business development and client service initiatives as needed. Qualifications Required Bachelor's degree in Real Estate, Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience. Knowledge of real estate valuation principles and appraisal methodologies. Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to interpret legal descriptions, plats, surveys, and related property documents. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines. Preferred Florida State-Certified General Real Estate Appraiser license. Florida Real Estate License. Experience preparing right-of-way appraisals and cost estimates. Experience with FDOT projects, standards, and procedures. Knowledge of eminent domain and right-of-way acquisition processes. Experience with transportation, utility, or infrastructure-related projects. Familiarity with USPAP standards and appraisal reporting requirements.
