Job Description
The City of Wayzata is seeking a Building Official to manage building construction, property maintenance, rental housing, and related services. In this role, you will supervise and coordinate the work of the permit technician, ensuring smooth operations and excellent service for the community. Your work will help ensure Wayzata remains a safe, well-maintained, and vibrant community for residents and businesses. Salary Range The City of Wayzata is completing a compensation study to be implemented on January 1, 2027. The 2026 salary range and hiring range is $90,507.04 - $115,514.88. The anticipated 2027 salary range is $100,380.71 - $128,117.58, which includes a compensation study adjustment and 3% COLA. Recruitment Timeline (subject to change)
