Job Description
Job Summary We are immediately seeking a full-time field appraiser who is dependable, trustworthy and enjoys working outdoors. In this role you would be responsible for inspecting, verifying and recording details of commercial, residential and agricultural properties required for property valuation. This position serves as the public-facing representative of the county Assessor's Office and must always maintain professional communication and appearance. Responsibilities Conduct on-site inspections of residential and commercial properties to gather detailed data on property conditions, features, etc. Utilize GIS (Geographic Information Systems) tools and Microsoft Office applications, including spreadsheets, to organize data efficiently. Communicate effectively with taxpayers and internal teams to explain appraisal findings clearly and professionally. Qualifications 21 years of age or older Possess a valid MO driver's license, clean driving record and reliable transportation Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time, as well as bend, stretch and kneel as required during property inspections Ability to climb stairs and carry 5-10lbs of equipment Comfortable working outdoors for extended periods of time, in all seasons/weather Excellent math skills with an eye for detail; ability to analyze property documents accurately.
