Position Overview :
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Appraisal Assistant to support a Certified General Appraiser. This role is focused on rural and agricultural properties, and it is ideal for someone with experience in loan processing, real estate/title companies, or as a loan assistant. The role offers opportunities for growth in the appraisal profession, and you will have the chance to work closely with an experienced appraiser in this specialized field.
Key Responsibilities :
Assist in the preparation of detailed appraisal reports by gathering and organizing property data. Conduct research on rural and agricultural property using various data sources. Input and manage data in appraisal software, including UAAR and Surety AG Pro. Use GIS mapping tools to analyze property layouts and land use. Schedule and coordinate property inspections. Maintain accurate records of appraisals, property details, and all relevant documents. Communicate with clients to provide updates and handle inquiries. Provide overall administrative support to the appraiser, ensuring smooth project flow.
Qualifications :
Previous experience as a loan processor, loan assistant, title assistant, or in a related field preferred. Proficiency in GIS mapping tools, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel), UAAR, and Surety AG Pro; willingness to learn if not proficient in all systems. High attention to detail and ability to work independently on assigned tasks. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Good communication skills, both written and verbal. High school diploma required; further education in real estate, agriculture, or related fields is a plus. Interest in rural and agricultural property or experience in this sector is a plus.
Compensation :
The position offers a competitive salary, typically ranging from $18 - $24 per hour, commensurate with experience. There is also potential for professional growth within the appraisal field.
