Temporary Live-In Property Caretaker Term:

Approximately now through November 2026

Compensation:

Rent-free housing, utilities, and living accommodations provided We are seeking a reliable individual to serve as a temporary live-in caretaker for a 136-acre property on Bissonnet Road in the Houston area. The caretaker will live in a newly installed mobile home on the property while construction and development preparations are underway. The accommodations will include electricity through a generator, water, security arrangements, and other basic necessities. Responsibilities Reside at the property and maintain a regular presence. Keep an eye on the property and report unusual activity, damage, trespassing, or maintenance issues. Maintain reasonable cleanliness and care of the mobile-home accommodations. Coordinate with the property-management/construction team when necessary. Be available to allow authorized contractors or service providers access to the property when scheduled. Follow reasonable property-security and safety procedures. Otherwise, have the freedom to come and go as needed during the term of the arrangement. Qualifications Must be at least 18 years old. Dependable, responsible, and trustworthy. Able to live independently in a temporary rural/semi-rural property setting. Comfortable with limited amenities and living on a large undeveloped property. Background check and references may be required. What Is Provided Rent-free mobile-home accommodations Utilities and basic services provided No cost for the housing Property-security arrangements Approximately three months of temporary accommodations This is an unusual opportunity for someone looking for free housing in exchange for maintaining a responsible presence on a private property for a limited period.
