Risk & Investigations Specialist

American Guard Services is seeking an experienced Lead Risk & Investigations Specialist to join our team in Gardena, CA. This role is ideal for candidates with 3-5 years of law enforcement experience and a background in investigations, risk management, and HR-related matters. This position plays a critical role in protecting company operations by conducting internal investigations, mitigating organizational risk, supporting compliance initiatives, and partnering with Human Resources on sensitive employee matters. Key Responsibilities Conduct internal and external investigations involving misconduct, fraud, policy violations, and operational risk Prepare comprehensive, well-documented investigative reports for leadership review Partner with HR on employee-related investigations and workplace matters Identify, assess, and mitigate potential organizational risks Support fraud detection, loss prevention, and compliance initiatives Collect and analyze evidence, statements, and relevant documentation Maintain strict confidentiality and professional investigative standards Coordinate with law enforcement agencies when necessary Provide risk-based recommendations to executive leadership Required Qualifications 3-5 years of law enforcement experience (required) Proven experience conducting investigations (criminal, administrative, internal, or corporate) Experience supporting HR investigations or employee relations matters Strong report writing and documentation skills Knowledge of risk mitigation strategies and compliance practices High level of integrity, discretion, and professional judgment Strong analytical and interviewing skills Education Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice, Business, Risk Management, or related field preferred Relevant professional experience may substitute for formal education Preferred Qualifications Background in corporate security, private investigations, or internal affairs Experience in risk management or loss prevention Familiarity with California employment and workplace compliance standards Experience working in multi-site or corporate environments Compensation & Benefits $25.00 - $33.00 per hour (depending on experience) 401(k)
