What You'll Do As a Transaction Services Specialist II, you will help protect customers and the organization by reviewing financial transactions, identifying potential fraud risks, and ensuring proper documentation and compliance procedures are followed.
Key responsibilities include:
Review and verify check transactions to identify irregularities, potential fraud indicators, and suspicious activity. Monitor transaction queues and prioritize daily workloads to meet established service-level expectations. Contact customers when needed to validate transactions and resolve concerns. Analyze account documentation, including signature authorizations, and update records as appropriate. Maintain accurate transaction logs, investigative notes, and operational reports. Monitor shared email inboxes and voicemail communications to ensure timely response and follow-up. Identify trends, patterns, and emerging fraud risks and escalate concerns when appropriate. Participate in special projects and contribute to ongoing process improvements. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support operational excellence and customer satisfaction.
What We're Looking For Required Qualifications:
High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent. Minimum of 2 years of experience in banking, financial services, fraud prevention, risk management, operations, or a related field. Experience reviewing transactions and identifying unusual or suspicious activity. Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
Preferred Experience:
Knowledge of money movement processes, including checks, ACH transactions, and wire transfers. Experience conducting fraud investigations, transaction reviews, or account verification activities. Ability to identify fraud patterns, trends, and potential risks through research and analysis. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with sound judgment regarding escalation decisions. Experience maintaining compliance-related documentation and transaction records. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Excel, Word, Teams, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
