A138769 Responsibilities About the Role As the Anti-Fraud Operations Manager within TikTok Shop's USDS (U.S. Data Security) Risk Control and Security division, you will lead the operational line of defense protecting one of the world's fastest-growing e-commerce ecosystems. In this role, you will manage a team of high-performing operational analysts responsible for detecting, investigating, and mitigating fraud and abuse across the marketplace. You will combine operational oversight, risk strategy, analytical rigor, and cross-functional alignment to ensure TikTok Shop remains a safe, trusted, and compliant environment for buyers, merchants, and creators without compromising business growth or user experience.

Responsibilities:

• People Management:

  Directly lead, mentor, and develop a team of anti-fraud operational analysts, managing daily workflows, project delivery, and performance metrics.

• Vendor & BPO Operations Management:

  Manage our relationships with external Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) partners and vendor teams, setting performance benchmarks, quality assurance standards, and operational workflows to ensure high-accuracy fraud reviews and appeal handling.

• Investigation Oversight:

  Guide the team in deep-dive fraud investigations, escalation handling, and forensic analysis to identify emerging threat vectors and bad actor behavior patterns while showing good judgment to support business growth.

• Operational Modernization:

  Lead the team in adopting next-generation AI and Large Language Model (LLM) tools to automate case handling, share key insights, and enhance threat detection speed.

Cross-Functional Partnering:

Collaborate across various partner teams to build and maintain platform guardrails and align on joint priorities.

Qualifications Minimum Qualifications:

• Experience:

  5+ years of experience in Anti-Fraud, Trust & Safety, Risk Operations, or Risk Analytics in tech or e-commerce, with 4+ years in people management.

• Technical Proficiency:

  Hands-on experience with SQL for data analysis and metric validation, with familiarity in Python, R, or automated workflow tools.

• Risk & Operations Expertise:

  Proven track record in deep dive fraud investigations, sharing key insights, and designing operational enforcement workflows.

• Global Collaboration:

  Demonstrated ability to manage projects and align cross-functional stakeholders across different time zones and cultural contexts.

• Education:

  Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, Business Analytics, or a related quantitative/technical field.

Communication & Navigating Ambiguity:

Exceptional storytelling skills with the ability to navigate ambiguous risk scenarios and exercise sound operational judgment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Data Security & Privacy:

  Familiarity with U.S. data security frameworks (USDS), compliance standards, and operating in highly regulated environments.

• AI & Automation Integration:

  Experience leveraging AI/LLMs or automated workflow tools to optimize manual review processes, case auditing, or operational efficiency.

• E-Commerce & Marketplace Knowledge:

Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units. Benefits may vary depending on the nature of employment and the country work location.
