About the
Role:
The Director, Treasury and Risk plays a pivotal role in directing financial and risk management initiatives within an organization. This position is responsible for developing and executing treasury functions including cash management, liquidity planning, and capital structure optimization to ensure operational efficiency and financial stability. The role involves identifying, assessing, and mitigating financial risks to protect the organization's assets and reputation while supporting strategic growth initiatives. The Director, Treasury and Risk collaborates closely with senior leadership, finance teams, and external partners to align treasury and risk management practices with organizational goals and regulatory requirements.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field. 5 years of progressive experience in treasury, risk management, or financial leadership roles or related experience. Demonstrated knowledge of treasury operations, risk management frameworks, and financial instruments. Strong understanding of financial and statutory compliance requirements related to healthcare.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's degree in Finance, Business Administration (MBA), or related discipline. Professional certifications such as Certified Treasury Professional (CTP), Financial Risk Manager (FRM), or Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA). Proven track record of leading cross-functional teams and managing complex projects. Familiarity with healthcare reimbursement models and government funding mechanisms.
Responsibilities:
Demonstrate commitment to Our Mission and models ILS Experience Standards of Excellence. Lead and direct all treasury operations including cash flow forecasting, liquidity management, and banking relationships. Monitor and report on key treasury and risk metrics, ensuring timely communication of risks and opportunities. Direct debt management, investment strategies, and capital funding activities to optimize the organization's financial position. Review investment opportunities and seek opportunities in line with Investment Policy. Cultivate relationships with insurance brokers to ensure an effective insurance program and oversee annual policy renewals Direct captive insurance entity management and claims processing. Provide due diligence and transaction support for mergers and acquisitions. Ensure that assigned deliverables are completed on time, including development and coordination of required contractual and regulatory submissions. Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure organizational performance, including accurate and timely reporting of required contractual regulatory reports. Develop, maintain and improve management processes, policies and procedures and/or conduct management projects including development of detailed plans to achieve project objectives. Perform other duties as assigned.
