The Opportunity The Risk Management Regional Manager is a hands-on, technical, tactical focused field manager responsible for the daily operation and direction of an assigned regional Risk Management territory. Primary responsibilities include directing daily field operations of designated Risk Management Consultants, supporting initiatives and directives from the Director of Risk Management, and the implementation and execution of policies and procedures designed to increase departmental efficiencies, provide stellar customer service to all internal and external stakeholders, and improve overall loss results. The RMRM is responsible for designated staffing and performance management, all manner of internal/external stakeholder training and Continuing Education, and overall performance of the assigned Risk Management team. Our success is rooted in teamwork and the way we care for the people we work with and serve. This field-based role allows you to set your schedule from a home office, with approximately three to four days per week in the field and overnight travel as needed. You will also travel to our Raleigh office for meetings and company events up to four times per year. We are seeking candidates who reside within our footprint, including the North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia, Maryland, Tennessee, Mississippi, and Florida areas. Your WORK as a Risk Management Regional Manager will make a difference by: Recruit, select, develop, and coach Risk Management Consultants through frequent interaction via field co-travels on selected medium/large accounts and to agents. Direct the delivery of value-added Risk Management services to policyholders, agents, insureds, and prospective policyholders. Monitor, analyze, and report on loss trends and class code profitability. Develop recommendations to improve loss frequency and severity. Partner with Underwriting, Claims, Marketing, and other functions to implement proactive solutions for improving loss results and enhancing the Risk Management brand to internal and external stakeholders. Ensure top performance of designated consultants through ownership and implementation if the field quality analysis program. Work with the RMTM to monitor trends, develop necessary training and deliver effectively. Promote and develop high levels of customer service in the decentralized, customer facing Risk Management organization. Conduct accident investigations on selected, potentially high exposure claims. Represent company in Home Builders Association (HBA) meetings and events. Travel Requirements Our consultants, clients, agents, and brokers are located in a nine-state area from Maryland to Mississippi, requiring the Risk Management Regional Manager to travel out of town 25%-50%, and occasionally more. Normal duration for remote client visits is 1-2 nights away from the RMRM's home office. Skills to get the JOB done
