Job Description
Healey Center Essential Functions:
Maintains knowledge of state and federal regulations. Cooperates with the medical peer review and institutional committees on issues related to standards of care. Develops a system to share Risk Management and Quality of Care data with appropriate departments and administrative personnel. Develops a system for tracking and trending the generic screening to assist in the identification of potentially high risk behaviors. Prepares and submits reports as required by Florida law. Prepares and submits summary reports of the Risk Management activities to the Quality Improvement Committee. Develops appropriate operational linkages to correct actual and potential problems that have been identified. Will represent the Healey Center as the designated Compliance liaison. Represents the department on appropriate committees as assigned. Monitors incident reporting system. Receives incident reports and other information regarding occurrences to analyze and identify trends and make suggestions for corrective action as appropriate. Takes steps to ascertain that risks are minimized through follow-up and actions on regulatory reports. Prepares and submits appropriate reports to the state as required. Participates in on-call responsibilities as needed. Recommends appropriate revisions to new or existing policies to prevent further occurrences. Maintains awareness of legislative and regulatory activities related to health care risk management. Interacts with organizational legal counsel as appropriate. Participates with new employee orientation.. Interacts with clinical staff regarding ongoing investigations. Implements educational information and programs as appropriate. Emergency duty may be required of the incumbent that includes working in Red Cross shelters or to perform other emergency duties including, but not limited to, responses to threats or disasters, man-made or natural.Additional Duties:

Bachelor's degree in Nursing or Diploma in Nursing required.Experience:
Three (3) to five (5) years' experience at the Registered Nurse level; two of which is preferred in a risk management capacity.Certification:
Basic Life Support certification required. Cardiac Life Support Certification preferred. Certified Professional in Health Care Risk Management (CPHRM) preferred.Licensure:
State of Florida, Registered Nurse license required. Licensed Risk Manager in the State of Florida or required within one year of hire.Registrations:
