This position works closely with employees, managers, clients, contractors, third-party administrators, and legal representatives to ensure claims are handled accurately, efficiently, and in accordance with company policies and applicable requirements. The Claims Analyst will monitor active claims, identify opportunities to minimize costs and liability, support return-to-work initiatives, maintain accurate records, and provide recommendations that help protect the company's safety, security, reputation, and financial performance. Key Responsibilities Serve as a primary point of contact between the Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) team and internal and external stakeholders, including managers, employees, contractors, clients, and third-party administrators (TPAs). Oversee and monitor active workers' compensation claims from initial reporting through resolution. Partner with medical providers, TPAs, employees, and management to support appropriate treatment, timely return-to-work programs, and effective case management. Evaluate claims for potential financial exposure and liability while identifying opportunities to reduce costs and manage risk. Gather, verify, and maintain documentation and information related to insured property, equipment, vehicles, tools, and other company assets. Maintain accurate and up-to-date databases and tracking systems for insured assets and claims activity. Review claims information and documentation for accuracy, completeness, and compliance; make corrections when necessary. Respond to information requests from attorneys, legal representatives, insurance carriers, TPAs, and other authorized parties. Maintain detailed records and provide administrative support for workers' compensation claims and other insurance lines of business. Ensure claims activities are conducted in accordance with company risk management policies, procedures, and applicable regulations. Assist with the administration and management of additional lines of insurance or risk-related programs as needed. Provide support to accounting functions, including month-end close activities and related reporting, when requested. Assist with developing and delivering training to employees and staff regarding risk awareness, loss prevention, safety, and procedures for minimizing exposure. Identify potential risks and make recommendations to management regarding strategies to prevent or reduce future losses. Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned. Required Qualification High school diploma or equivalent required. Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business, Risk Management, Insurance, or a related field preferred. Experience Minimum of 3 years of experience managing or administering workers' compensation claims. Experience working with insurance claims, risk management, or related functions strongly preferred. Experience with a Risk Information Management System (RIMIS) preferred; Riskonnect experience is a plus. Skills & Competencies Strong knowledge of workers' compensation claims processes and risk management principles. Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and strong overall computer skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work effectively with employees, managers, clients, contractors, subcontractors, attorneys, and other external partners. Highly detail-oriented with a strong commitment to accuracy and thorough documentation. Ability to analyze claims information, identify trends, and make sound recommendations. Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple claims and priorities simultaneously. Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment while operating under general direction. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
