- Summary Title: Insurance Section Analyst location: Rockville MD Client is seeking a full-time Contractor to assist the Insurance Manager and Risk Management Division Chief with Insurance Section activities and related tasks. Key Responsibilities
- Analyze and evaluate contract scopes of service to recommend appropriate insurance requirements, critical terms, and conditions.
- Develop insurance requirements for contracts and other legal agreements based on identified exposures.
- Review Certificates of Insurance (issued and received) and related endorsements to ensure compliance with established requirements.
- Analyze scopes of work and contracts for insurance-related exposures.
- Review and understand indemnity provisions in contractual agreements.
- Work closely with internal colleagues, contractors, and vendors while maintaining a strong customer-service focus.
- Attend meetings or perform work at locations outside the office when operationally necessary.
- Work side-by-side with Client staff to facilitate knowledge transfer. Required Skills & Knowledge
- Strong oral and written communication skills with multiple audiences and organizations.
- Solid negotiating skills.
- Knowledge and understanding of commercial insurance coverage.
- Ability to analyze contracts and scopes of work to identify exposures and establish appropriate insurance requirements.
- Understanding of insurance requirements, Certificates of Insurance, and contractual indemnity provisions.
- Strong customer-service skills. Reporting The Contractor will report directly to the Insurance Manager, with dotted-line reporting to the Chief of the Risk Management Division. Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university.
Preference for candidates with at least two (2) years of professional experience in an insurance agency, brokerage, underwriting position, or contract legal work. About Cyquent Cyquent is a
