Vice President of Risk Management Position Overview The Risk Management Associate serves as the initial point of contact for reported losses across nationwide locations. This role operates in a fast-paced environment and works closely with Safety, Fleet, Customer Care, and Field Operations teams to support claims management and risk mitigation efforts. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and effective communication are essential for success in this position. Key Responsibilities

  • Receive and process claim intake from the internal Accident Hotline
  • Support claim investigations related to auto, workers' injuries, general liability, and property damage
  • Coordinate with third-party administrators (TPAs) and branch locations on Return-to-Work (RTW) initiatives
  • Administer the Texas Non-Subscriber RTW program
  • Ensure injured employees under the Texas Work Injury Plan are paid in accordance with plan requirements
  • Coordinate modified duty assignments between branch leadership and injured employees
  • Provide accurate wage information to TPAs for workers' injury claims
  • Maintain insurance schedules and centralized risk management files
  • Obtain and manage insurance renewal policies
  • Assist Director with exposure data gathering for insurance renewals
  • Prepare and compile claim reports and progress updates on a monthly and quarterly basis
  • Support departmental efforts to ensure compliance with workers' compensation laws and regulations
  • Communicate claims management philosophy and strategy to business units and regional leadership
  • Review insurance billings to ensure accuracy against agreed terms
  • Issue and manage Certificates of Insurance
  • Interact with TPAs, insurance brokers, and attorneys as needed
  • Perform additional duties as assigned Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in a business-related discipline preferred (will consider candidates with some college or significant relevant experience)
  • High school diploma required with appropriate work experience if degree not completed
  • Prior experience managing workers' compensation claims for a large organization preferred
  • Experience supporting auto, property, and general liability claims strongly preferred
  • Recent graduates with a degree in Insurance or Risk Management will be considered in lieu of industry experience
  • Insurance or claims industry designations are a plus but not required Skills & Competencies
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Experience working with web-based Risk Management Information Systems (RMIS)
  • Ability to analyze records and organize data from multiple sources
  • Sound judgment, discretion, and professionalism when handling confidential information
  • Self-motivated, team-oriented, and adaptable to changing priorities
Compensation Structure:
  • $55,000-$75,000.
