Position Summary The Director of Trading is responsible for the strategic leadership of Falcon's trading department. This role oversees portfolio implementation, trade execution, rebalancing, investment operations, and trading technology while building a collaborative, high-performing team capable of supporting the firm's continued growth.   • Lead all daily trading operations across discretionary client portfolios.
  • Oversee rebalancing, model implementation, cash management, tax-loss harvesting, and portfolio transitions.
  • Ensure best execution, compliance, and operational excellence.
  • Develop scalable trading strategies and workflows. Team Leadership & Culture
  • Lead, mentor, and coach a high-performing trading team. This is a hands on role, with high team involvement, mentoring, coaching, motivating and supporting the team
  • Strengthen team dynamics through collaboration, trust, accountability, and open communication.
  • Foster cross-training, knowledge sharing, and continuous learning.
  • Recruit, develop, and retain top talent while creating clear career paths.
  • Promote a positive culture focused on service, innovation, and continuous improvement. Advisor & Executive Partnership
  • Partner closely with Financial Advisors to implement investment strategies.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership on strategic initiatives, staffing, technology, and operational improvements.
  • Communicate effectively across all levels of the organization and present key departmental metrics. Process Improvement & Technology
  • Identify and implement workflow improvements and automation opportunities.
  • Serve as Falcon's Orion Advisor Technology and Orion Eclipse Trading subject matter expert.
  • Evaluate AI and technology enhancements that improve scalability and efficiency. Vendor Management
  • Manage relationships with Orion, Charles Schwab, Fidelity, and other key vendors.
  • Negotiate contracts and recommend technology enhancements. Required Qualifications
  • Minimum 7 years of trading experience within a Registered Investment Advisor (RIA).
  • Minimum 3 years leading or managing a trading team.
  • Extensive Orion Advisor Technology and Orion Eclipse Trading experience.
  • Strong knowledge of discretionary portfolio management, tax-efficient trading, and portfolio rebalancing. Salesforce experience
  • Excellent communication, coaching, and leadership skills.
  • Bachelor's degree required. Preferred Qualifications
CFA, CFP
®, or Series 65/7/66.
  • Experience supporting RIAs with $1B+ in assets. What Success Looks Like

Pay:
$150,000.00 - $160,000.00 per year
