About the role The Trading Specialist supports and assists the Trading Manager with daily trading activities and all other operational aspects of the client experience. The Trading Specialist's primary function is to support the Trading Manager with daily trading and rebalancing responsibilities. Secondarily, this role assists in researching and resolving money account related issues; preparing performance and other analytical reports; and communicating with clients, internal associates, and third parties. This role works closely with the financial planning team to provide a first-rate experience for all clients. As a Trading Specialist with Falcon Wealth Planning you will be part of a rapidly growing financial planning firm. Your experience is a vital part of our success, and we will provide you with all the training and resources you need. You may also qualify for advancement to other positions depending on your credentials. What you'll do Responsible for daily trading and rebalancing under the direction of the Investment Manager Setup new client accounts in portfolio management software and implement strategy Perform manual reviews for trading opportunities & document portfolio comments in the CRM Perform daily reviews for available cash to invest from daily deposit reports Perform daily reviews for risk issues as assigned Perform daily reviews for any NSF issues Manage integration with the Investment platform and monitor investment options Implement changes to trading software Communicate with both clients and advisors to explain trades and answer questions regarding investment philosophy and its implementation Prepare and send one-time reports requested by clients, advisors, and planners All other duties as assigned Communicates with clients, internal associates, and external professionals to research and resolve account related issues Prepares performance and other analytical reports for financial planners Assists financial planning team and the operations team with other projects as needed Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or Business One year finance, trading, or other related financial services experience necessary
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE / QUALIFICATIONS
Three or more years finance, trading, or other related financial services experience Familiarity with Morningstar Office/TRX software, Orion, VBA/Advanced Excel Solid understanding of Fixed Income, Mutual Funds, ETFs and various client account type securities and markets Proficiency in coding languages a Plus Superb analytical skills Organized, efficient, and process driven. Must be adept at balancing and prioritizing trading needs in a fast-paced work environment
