Bulk Ferroalloys Trader Location:
Greenwich, CT Job Overview:
The Bulk Ferroalloys Trader will be responsible for originating and executing physical trades across global ferroalloys markets. This role focuses on building and growing a profitable trading book by leveraging existing relationships, identifying new opportunities, and managing the full trade lifecycle. The position offers strong exposure to senior leadership and access to established infrastructure, including logistics, financing, and risk management, within a fast-paced and entrepreneurial trading environment.
Responsibilities:
  • Originate and execute physical trades across bulk ferroalloys
  • Develop and maintain relationships with producers, consumers, and intermediaries to drive trading activity.
  • Manage the full trade lifecycle including pricing, negotiation, logistics coordination, and risk management.
  • Identify new market opportunities across products and geographies to expand trading activity.
  • Partner with internal logistics, operations, and finance teams to ensure efficient and accurate execution.
  • Monitor market fundamentals, pricing trends, and supply-demand dynamics to inform trading decisions.
  • Build, manage, and scale a profitable trading book with increasing ownership of P&L.
Qualifications:
  • 4+ years of experience in physical metals or ferroalloys trading.
  • Established network within producers, consumers, or brokers in the metals or bulk commodities markets.
  • Demonstrated ability to originate business and manage risk independently.
  • Strong understanding of global supply chains, pricing mechanisms, and contract structures.
  • Proficiency in Excel and familiarity with trade capture and risk management systems.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to operate in a fast-paced, commercially driven environment.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and analytical skills.
