Position Specific Description This Proprietary Natural Gas Trader is responsible for building and trading NextEra Energy Marketing's physical gas portfolio in the Permian and Southwest region. Proprietary Traders apply a high level of competency in trading strategies, pipeline rules, physical market knowledge, financial products, and regulatory policies. In this role you will be responsible for: Performing individual research Profitable deal execution Deal entry management Monthly reconciliations Transacting physical gas, transport, storage, and financial basis Creating markets for origination and asset optimization groups Applying knowledge of Texas and Southwest natural gas infrastructure Managing a profitable proprietary trading book Individuals in this role may be responsible for after-hours and weekend work on an as-needed basis.
