Job Description
TAG Advisors is seeking a Trading Associate to join our team. TAG Advisors is where independent entrepreneurial financial advisors thrive. We are growing rapidly and have now become the largest Enterprise OSJ at Cambridge Investment Research, a privately held independent broker dealer / RIA. The TAG Invest team serves as a strategic asset management partner to financial advisors within TAG Advisors, providing professionally managed investment portfolios designed around client goals, risk tolerance, tax considerations, and overall financial planning needs. TAG Invest currently manages more than $2 billion in assets, providing advisors with an institutional investment management solution while allowing them to maintain a highly personalized client experience. The Trading Associate will play an important role in supporting the day-to-day investment operations of TAG Invest. Working closely with our Portfolio Managers and Lead Trader, this individual will help execute and reconcile trades, manage investment-related workflows and cash activity, maintain trading processes and reporting, and respond to requests from financial advisors and their staff. This role is well suited for someone who is detail-oriented, analytically minded, and interested in building a career in trading, portfolio management, and investment operations.

Trading Associate Position Overview:
The Trading Associate provides trading, operational, and advisor support to the TAG Invest team. This individual will assist with trade execution and reconciliation, cash management, investment reporting, and the development and maintenance of internal trading procedures. The role will work closely with a Portfolio Manager and our Lead Trader while also serving as a resource for financial advisors and their staff on investment-related requests. This is a great opportunity for someone early in their financial services career who is detail-oriented, quantitatively minded, comfortable working with data and technology, and interested in developing a career in trading, investment operations, or portfolio management.Key Responsibilities:
Trading & Investment Operations:
Assist with the execution, processing, and reconciliation of trades across client accounts Work alongside the Lead Trader to ensure trades are completed accurately and efficiently Review and reconcile trading activity, account positions, and exceptions Assist with portfolio rebalances, model changes, and other trading-related projects Identify and help resolve trading or account-level discrepanciesCash Management & Reporting:
Monitor incoming client cash flows and assist with determining appropriate investment and trading actions Run, review, and reconcile recurring investment and operational reports Track outstanding cash, trading, and account-related items through completion Maintain accurate records and escalate discrepancies or exceptions when necessaryTrading Procedures & Workflow:
Build, document, maintain, and continually improve TAG Invest's trade file procedures Develop repeatable processes and checklists to support trading accuracy and efficiency Help maintain internal documentation, shared files, and recordkeeping standards Assist the team in improving and automating trading workflows where appropriateAdvisor & Team Support:
Receive and coordinate investment and trading requests from financial advisors and their staff Communicate with advisors and internal stakeholders regarding outstanding investment-related items Provide flexible support to Portfolio Managers, the Lead Trader, and other members of the TAG Invest team Assist with additional investment operations and portfolio-related projects as neededQualifications:
0-2 years of experience in financial services, investment operations, trading, accounting, data analysis, or a similar/complementary role Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, business, mathematics, statistics, or another quantitative field Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and comfort working with large amounts of data Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities and work independently in a remote environment Ability to work effectively within established processes while identifying opportunities to improve them Commitment to data security and confidentialityPreferred Skills:
Familiarity with investment management, securities trading, portfolio accounting, or financial markets Experience with custodial platforms, portfolio management systems, CRMs, or trading/rebalancing software Advanced Microsoft Excel skills Interest in using technology and AI to improve trading, reporting, reconciliation, and internal processes Interest in pursuing securities industry licenses and/or professional finance designations Desire to grow into additional responsibilities within trading, investment operations, or portfolio management.Professional Development:

Salary Range:
$55,000- 65,000
Pay:
$55,000.00- $65,000.
