JOB FUNCTIONS AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage term and daily natural gas trading activities for Targa's operating units Facilitate gas transportation procurement according to asset and customer needs Develop and execute trading optimization strategies across Targa assets Manage supply to downstream customer portfolio Build and maintain relationships with counterparties and industry contacts to facilitate trading activities and stay updated on market developments Support long term origination efforts for new growth strategies for supply and end users adjacent to Targa assets Assist and support for other Targa trading areas, including Permian, Oklahoma, and Gulf Coast Other duties as assigned
MINIMUM ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in business, economics or related field or commensurate trading experience Strong understanding of the natural gas midstream industry and natural gas trading is required Minimum of 2 years of natural gas related experience Minimum of 3 years of natural gas scheduling experience Understanding of financial trading and hedging strategies Sound communication and documentation skills, including the ability to interact effectively with various levels of staff and management Motivated, self-directed and detail-oriented, while also maintaining a results-driven approach to work; Demonstrated accountability skills including the ability to take ownership of assigned tasks Strong analytical skills, including the ability to recognize and research irregularities and inconsistencies Excellent organizational skills with close attention to detail Effective in a dynamic environment, adapting to and managing change in a positive and proactive manner Capable of establishing effective working relationships that promote teamwork and collaboration Ability to remain positive, professional, determined, calm and focused when faced with challenging situations Regular and reliable attendance
