Job Description

Overview The Product Trader focuses on trading, generating profit, and meeting revenue targets through the sales team. This role involves daily communication with suppliers to build and maintain relationships, managing product lines, and promoting products to Coast Fraser's sales teams. The Product Trader also handles inventory management and domestic sales if needed. Responsibilities Focus on trading activities to generate profit for the company ; develop and implement trading strategies to maximize profitability Ensure that minimum sales revenue targets are met for assigned products and Collaborate with the sales team to drive sales and achieve revenue goals Take responsibility for specific products assigned by the company, and monitor market trends and adjust strategies to maintain competitive advantage Train and promote the assigned product to the sales teams, providing product knowledge and support to ensure effective selling. Sell and promote assigned products through the internal sales team's customers, and collaborate with the sales team to expand sales opportunities and achieve targets Address product-related inquiries from the Sales team and provide timely and accurate information to support sales efforts Build inventory after obtaining necessary approvals, as well manage stock inventory and ensure profitability of the inventory held Maintain accurate records of all interactions with prospects and customers in the ECS and prepare regular reports on lead generation activities and outcomes for the Business Development Manager, and ensure all documentation is completed accurately and in a timely manner Understand and execute leadership instructions within specified time frames, maintaining accurate records and providing regular updates. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field. At least 5 years of experience in trading in forest products. Strong communication and negotiation skills. Excellent organizational and time management abilities. Awareness of market trends and expertise in managing supplier relationships. Proficiency in cost calculation and offering strategies Capability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team

$60,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
