Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Tax Associate to join our team and contribute to our clients' financial success. In this role, you will assist with tax preparation, compliance, and planning for individual and corporate clients. Your expertise in tax law, accounting software, and financial concepts will be essential in delivering accurate and timely tax services. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in public accounting while working in a collaborative and growth-focused environment. Responsibilities Prepare and review federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals, partnerships, and corporations using tax preparation software. Ensure compliance with current tax laws and regulations by staying updated on changes in tax legislation. Assist clients with tax planning strategies to optimize their financial outcomes. Conduct detailed analysis of financial documents, including income statements, balance sheets, and other supporting records. Communicate effectively with clients to gather necessary information, explain tax positions, and address inquiries related to tax documents. Support client acquisition efforts through marketing initiatives and building strong client relationships. Maintain accurate records of all tax documents, reports, and correspondence for audit readiness. Experience Proven experience in accounting or finance roles with a focus on tax preparation or compliance. Familiarity with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or similar financial management tools. Strong understanding of tax law, including partnership and corporate tax expertise. Demonstrated ability to handle complex tax reporting tasks efficiently while maintaining high accuracy standards. Excellent communication skills for client interaction and team collaboration. Basic proficiency in math, 10 key typing skills, and analysis capabilities to interpret financial data accurately. Prior experience in public accounting or working with tax return preparation software is highly desirable. Pay:
$11.00 - $14.00 per hour Expected hours: 10.0 - 40.0 per week
