Job Description

Position Summary The Business Services Specialist provides accounting, bookkeeping, and client support services to closely held businesses, individuals, and industry-specific clients. This position serves as an extension of the firm's Tax and Audit teams by delivering the day-to-day financial management and compliance support clients need to operate their businesses efficiently. Bookkeeping & Accounting Services
  • Perform monthly and quarterly bookkeeping services for clients.
  • Record and reconcile cash, accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, and general ledger transactions.
  • Prepare and review bank and credit card reconciliations.
  • Generate monthly and quarterly financial statement preparations and compilations. Severance Tax Preparation & Management
  • Prepare and file severance tax returns.
  • Monitor filing requirements and deadlines.
  • Reconcile production and revenue information.
  • Respond to taxing authority notices and client inquiries. 1099, W2 and Quarterly Payroll Preparation & Compliance
  • Manage annual 1099 reporting processes. Including preparation and review.
  • Maintain W-9 records.
  • Prepare and file Forms 1099 and related state reporting.
  • Manage corrections and compliance questions.
  • Payroll processing, W2 preparation and quarterly payroll tax return preparation.
  • Tax Department Support
  • Prepare workpapers and schedules.
  • Support tax professionals during filing season.
  • Perform tax work as needed or desired by the individual. Audit Team Support
  • Prepare reconciliations and audit schedules.
  • Assist clients with records needed for audits.
  • Collaborate with audit staff on reporting improvements. Client Relationship Management
  • Serve as a trusted advisor.
  • Build strong client relationships.
  • Identify additional service opportunities. Compensation Entry-Level (1-3 Years Experience): $50,000 - $65,000 annually, depending on experience, education, and qualifications. Annual performance and compensation reviews with bonus opportunities based on individual and firm performance. Benefits

Pay:
$50,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
