$85,000 - $95,000 per year Position Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Senior Tax Associate to join our accounting and tax team in Longmont, CO. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in tax compliance, accounting, and financial analysis, along with excellent organizational and communication skills. This role will support multiple entities and clients while handling tax preparation, accounting, reconciliations, bookkeeping, and financial reporting activities. The successful candidate should be comfortable managing multiple priorities, meeting deadlines, and maintaining a high level of accuracy and confidentiality. Key Responsibilities Prepare and process federal and state tax compliance reports. Prepare individual and business/entity tax returns. Reconcile general ledger and other accounting accounts. Perform bookkeeping functions, including payroll and account reconciliations. Assist with audits and related accounting activities as needed. Manage a full workload while consistently meeting deadlines. Maintain accurate and organized tax and accounting files. Follow established procedures for data management and confidentiality. Enter and verify financial data accurately. Schedule and track assigned tasks through completion. Utilize Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams. Work proficiently with QuickBooks Online and QuickBooks Desktop. Utilize CCH accounting and tax software. Support other accounting and tax-related projects as assigned. Required Skills & Qualifications Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong customer service and relationship-building abilities. Ability to prioritize multiple assignments and manage competing deadlines. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and active listening skills. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Solid understanding of GAAP . Knowledge of tax-basis accounting, including cash and accrual methods. Strong working knowledge of accounting and tax processes. Education & Experience Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field . 3-5 years of relevant tax and accounting experience preferred. CPA certification is preferred but not required. Experience with individual and entity tax preparation strongly preferred. Experience with QuickBooks and CCH tax/accounting software is highly desirable.
