Tax Associate

Job DescriptionJob Description This is a full-time, on-site role for a tax associate. We're looking for someone who is highly motivated with an accounting or finance degree. This role is responsible for managing and overseeing tax compliance, planning, and reporting for a book of small business and individual clients. The ideal candidate has strong technical expertise in tax regulations, excellent analytical and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work independently while collaborating across teams. Responsibilities Prepare and review federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals and businesses Serve as primary relationship manager and trusted advisor to assigned clients Conduct tax research, stay current on changes in tax law, and assess their impact Assist with tax planning strategies to minimize liabilities and optimize outcomes Actively foster a positive, collaborative environment through supportive teamwork and respectful communication Drive workflow efficiency and process quality control Work with internal stakeholders and external auditors or agencies as needed Qualifications Bachelors' degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Master's preferred) CPA certification preferred Relevant experience in public accounting or industry preferred Strong knowledge of federal and state tax regulations Ability to maintain confidentiality Deadline driven with strong time management & prioritization Excellent communication, analytical, & organizational skills Company DescriptionWBH Consulting is a respected CPA firm in Athens, Georgia.
