Seasonal Tax Process Specialist All about
Market Tax Services:
Market Tax Services is committed to serving clients' tax needs, from annual returns to long-term tax planning. It's nearly impossible for a lone tax professional to know how you will be affected by every change and adjustment. That is why it is crucial to work with a team of professionals, each dedicated to understanding their part of the tax spectrum. Each member of our team has years of experience in their field and knows how to work with the other members. Together they look beyond the return and help prepare you for the many aspects of taxes. Market Tax Services is a subsidiary of Market Advisory Group.
Position Overview:
As a Tax Process Specialist, you will be the first point of contact for our tax clients. Our Tax Process Specialist duties include offering administrative support across Market Tax Services. You will also coordinate tax desk activities, including distributing correspondence and redirecting phone calls. To be successful as a Tax Process Specialist, you should have a pleasant personality, as this is also a customer service role. You should also be able to deal with emergencies in a timely and effective manner, while streamlining tax office operations. Multitasking and stress management skills are essential for this position. This role may require working overtime during the busy season, so flexibility is a plus. Ultimately, Tax Process Specialist duties and responsibilities are to serve as intermediary between clients and the tax preparers and executes all administrative tasks to the highest quality standards. For the right candidate, this can also become a permanent position
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Act as the initial point of contact for clients, whether it be virtual, in person or over the phone Make sure client requests are addressed in a timely fashion by routing to appropriate staff Interact with clients and staff on various projects and assignments Reaching out to clients via portal or telephone Maintain client and job tracking processes Organize physical and electronic records Scanning, organizing, downloading, and uploading client files Monitor and assign tasks on Tax Dome Monitor and maintain all web submissions and faxes Process and collect payments both via our website and in person Any other duties as assigned. Abilities:
Comfortable with technology and working with computers Excellent attention to detail Excellent communication skills and ability to communicate clearly with empathy and respect Must be comfortable interacting with people of diverse backgrounds, education, economic status, and culture Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information in a professional and discreet manner Team-oriented, able to work cooperatively with staff and other volunteers Ability to abide by all confidentiality policies and procedures Fluency in English language (written and spoken). Experience:
  • Must be at least 18 years of age and possess a valid Driver's License
  • Must be a US citizen, permanent resident or authorized to work in the USA
  • No previous tax experience needed (training and coaching will be provided)
  • Must have a valid driver's license

Seasonal Full-time; Monday-Friday; Saturdays through tax season.
Expected hours:
40 - 45 per week Physical Requirements Office-based work environment Long periods of sitting Frequent and prolonged typing and keyboard use Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds
