Job Description:
Addison Group is partnering with a well-established professional services firm seeking an experienced Senior Tax Manager / Director to join its growing tax practice. This leadership role is ideal for an experienced CPA who enjoys working closely with clients, mentoring staff, and providing strategic tax planning and advisory services. The Senior Tax Manager / Director will oversee the preparation and review of complex tax returns while managing a diverse client portfolio consisting of individuals, trusts, estates, and privately held businesses. This individual will serve as a trusted advisor to clients, ensure high-quality client service, and contribute to the continued growth and success of the firm's tax practice.
Responsibilities include:
Prepare and review complex federal and state tax returns for individuals, trusts, estates, partnerships, and S corporations. Manage client relationships by providing proactive tax planning, consulting, and advisory services. Review tax work prepared by junior staff and provide coaching, mentorship, and technical guidance. Research complex tax matters and communicate recommendations to clients and leadership. Ensure compliance with tax laws, regulations, and filing deadlines. Collaborate with firm leadership to maintain exceptional client service and identify opportunities for process improvements. Utilize tax preparation and accounting software to efficiently manage client engagements. Support the continued development of client relationships through responsive communication and trusted advisory services.
Qualifications:
CPA license required. Seven (7)+ years of progressive public accounting tax experience. Strong experience preparing and reviewing individual tax returns. Experience with trust, estate, partnership, and S corporation tax returns. Demonstrated ability to manage client relationships and provide high-level tax planning. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong leadership, organizational, and mentoring abilities. Experience with tax preparation software and Microsoft Excel. Experience with CCH Axcess and QuickBooks is preferred. Addison Group is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
