- Opportunity to broaden your tax knowledge across diverse client situations Key Responsibilities for the Enrolled Agent (EA)
- Prepare complex individual (1040) tax returns
- Analyze tax documents and identify filing considerations
- Handle returns involving K-1s, investments, rental properties, and multi-state income
- Communicate directly with clients regarding tax matters and required documentation
- Research tax issues and provide compliance support
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations Qualifications for the Enrolled Agent (EA)
- Active Enrolled Agent (EA) designation
- 5+ years of individual tax preparation experience
- Strong experience preparing complex 1040 returns independently
