Hantz Tax & Business Job title Tax Associate Reports to District Manager Position Summary Work as part of the tax team to complete tax projections and prepare returns for clients. Duties and responsibilities Analyze Tax Liability Prepare Tax Projections Meet assigned goals Attend meetings and trainings Work with the Tax Team to assist in servicing clients Comply with all industry rules and regulations All other tasks assigned Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Ability to effectively manage competing priorities Strong sense of professional and personal accountability Basic computer skills and experience with Microsoft Office applications Strong written and verbal communication skills Strong work ethic Highly motivated and a self-starter Strong leadership qualities and an entrepreneurial spirit Education and Experience Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred Ability to obtain Enrolled Agent designation Ability to obtain active Preparer Tax Identification Number (PTIN) Supervisory Responsibilities There are no supervisory responsibilities for this position. Physical Demands The physical demands listed are representative of the minimum requirements to be met in order to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of the position, the employee will regularly be required to speak and listen. Frequently the employee will be required to stand, walk, and sit for varying durations. Work Environment The working environment is similar to a professional open office setting. The role requires the employee to use equipment such as photocopiers, computers, phones, fax machines, filing cabinets, and other office equipment as needed. Expected Hours The Tax Associate schedule will vary, but generally will include shifts working before, during, and after the regular hours of operation. Regular hours of operation are Monday-Friday 8am-6pm. Travel Travel to additional offices may be required. Work Authorizations / Security Clearances This position requires the employee to satisfactorily complete a background check.
