What You'll Do:

Under general supervision, support the tax compliance and reporting activities of ALLETE and its affiliates. Assist in the preparation of tax compliance requirements, conducting basic tax research, and participate in financial control processes. Ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations specific to the utility industry, supporting regulatory reporting obligations, and collaborating with cross-functional teams. Gain valuable experience in tax analysis and develop a foundational understanding of the utility industry's unique tax environment. Detail-oriented ability and strong analytical skills required. Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills required to establish and maintain relationships .

What You'll Bring:

Bachelor's degree required. Candidates graduating by December 31, 2026 will be considered. Degree in accounting or finance strongly preferred, but an equivalent degree with applicable accounting course work may be considered. No experience required.

Compensation and Benefits:

The expected annual compensation range for this position is $58,000 - $72,000. Compensation offered to the selected candidate will vary depending on relevant knowledge, skills, training, experience, and market conditions.
