Tax Co-Op/Intern - Summer 2027Where will you work: Plymouth Offices at 3033 Campus Drive, Suite E490, Plymouth, Minnesota 55441 The Tax Co-Op/Intern will be partnered with team members in varying roles in the tax department to help foster your success, provide you opportunities to grow in various areas of tax and transformation, and provide you with on-going feedback on your job performance. Our student opportunities allow you to learn from professionals, offers competitive pay, an opportunity to work with a global leader on exciting projects and much more. Term May 10, 2027 to August, 20, 2027Full time Co-Op/Internship. Typically, 36-40 hours a week. Hybrid. 9/80 schedule if applicable.
What you'll do:
Assist in preparation of federal, state, and international income tax returns and supporting workpapersAssist with quarterly tax provision calculations (ASC 740), including book-to-tax differencesPrepare and analyze tax data to support compliance and financial reportingSupport responses to tax notices and audit information requestsPrepare and analyze tax data to support compliance and financial reportingUtilize digital tools to improve data accuracy, consistency, and reporting efficiencyCommunicate with various levels of personnel throughout the organization, including management, plant operators, engineers (of various disciplines), tradespersons, and contractors.
Participation in department meetings and meetings specific to the project assignment.
Adhering to Mosaic's mission, guiding principles and priorities, and key competencies.
What you'll need: Junior level or above by May 2027 pursuing a bachelor's in Accounting, Finance, or IT2.75 GPA or higherFoundational knowledge of taxation and accounting principlesExperience or familiarity with Microsoft Copilot, Power BI, and reporting tools preferred1-2 years of experience volunteering, working with student/school organizations, or work is preferred.
Previous internship or co-op experience is preferred.
Reliable transportation and valid driver's license - You will need to be able to travel to and from sites and/or office.
Ability to work full timeand be a student in standing at the time of the co-op/internshipSelected candidates will be required to successfully complete post-offer/pre-placementdrug and alcohol screening, background check, physical, functional capacity examination.
Basic computer skills are requiredExperience working in a team environment is a mustEffective verbal communication skills is a plusThe physical demands described are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the functions of this job.
