We are seeking a detail-oriented Tax Senior Associate to join our tax team in Fishkill, NY. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience preparing individual income tax returns, along with exposure to corporate, sales, and payroll tax filings. This role requires strong analytical and organizational skills, proficiency with tax and accounting software, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while working collaboratively with finance and accounting teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare Federal, State, and local Individual Income Tax Returns. Assist with the preparation of Corporate Income Tax Returns. Assist with the preparation of State Sales Tax Returns. Assist with the preparation of Federal, State, and Local Payroll Tax Returns. Conduct tax research and provide guidance on complex tax issues. Assist with tax audits by preparing documentation and responding to inquiries from tax authorities. Review financial statements to identify tax implications and tax planning opportunities. Monitor changes in tax legislation and assess their impact on the organization. Collaborate with finance and accounting teams to ensure accurate tax reporting. Manage multiple assignments and ensure timely completion of tax-related tasks.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor''s degree in Accounting. 1-3 years of tax preparation experience, primarily focused on Individual Tax Return Preparation. Experience assisting with Corporate Tax Return Preparation is a plus. Experience preparing New York, Connecticut, and New Jersey Sales Tax Returns. Experience preparing New York, Connecticut, and New Jersey Payroll Tax Returns. Experience with ProSeries Tax Preparation Software. Experience with QuickBooks and QuickBooks Online. CPA or Enrolled Agent (EA) certification preferred or actively pursuing certification. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook. Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
