They serve as a technical resource for the team, support junior staff, and maintain strong client communication. This position requires advanced tax knowledge, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively. Key Responsibilities Prepare and review complex individual, corporate, partnership, and trust tax returns Assist junior staff with tax questions and provide informal training or guidance as needed Identify tax issues, research solutions, and apply appropriate treatments Communicate directly with clients regarding missing information, questions, and follow-up items Maintain a consistent workload during peak seasons and assist with special projects as assigned Stay current on tax law changes and apply updates appropriately to client returns Maintain clear documentation and organized workpapers for each return Uphold the firm's quality standards and core values in all work Software Knowledge & Expectations Proficient in Lacerte for preparation and review Competent in QuickBooks Desktop and Online for tax-related financial data Comfortable working in SmartVault for secure document sharing Use Podio for task tracking, deadlines, and workflow updates Skills and Qualifications CPA or CPA-eligible preferred Minimum 3-5 years of public accounting experience in tax Strong technical knowledge of tax compliance and planning Ability to manage workload independently and meet deadlines Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy
Pay:
$70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
