Job Description

Utz Quality Foods is seeking a Senior Tax Analyst to join our team. In this role, you'll support all tax-related functions: helping ensure compliance with direct and indirect federal, state, and local tax requirements while contributing to smart, practical tax strategies. You'll partner closely with Finance, Accounting, and Legal to keep the business moving forward with confidence. What you'll do Prepare quarterly federal, state, and local estimated payments and tax distributions; coordinate annual tax compliance with an external firm. Maintain taxable income workpapers (including state apportionment calculations) supporting estimated payments, distributions, and annual compliance. Review monthly fixed asset additions to determine appropriate tax treatment. Assist with quarterly accounting for income taxes and transfer pricing compliance. Administer non-income tax obligations and related annual budgets, including sales and use tax, Goods and Services Tax (GST), and personal and real property tax. Coordinate with outside firms on sales/use tax and personal property tax refund studies, and identify real estate tax appeal opportunities. Support tax audits, inquiries, and notices from tax authorities, including the IRS. Support business planning initiatives with a focus on tax compliance considerations. Coordinate tax registrations, annual reports, and business license filings. Participate in planning initiatives, particularly items with tax compliance considerations. What you'll bring Education Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field. Master's degree in Taxation (MST) is a plus. Experience 4+ years of tax experience at a large company and/or a Big 4 or regional accounting firm. CPA license is a plus, but not required. Skills Detail- and deadline-oriented with strong time management skills. Highly organized and able to coordinate multiple complex projects. Clear, professional communication skills and comfort partnering with cross-functional stakeholders. Proficiency with Microsoft Office. Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365, Power BI, and OneStream. Experience with tax software such as Thomson Reuters OneSource and CSC Corptax.
