Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Enrolled Agent to join our dynamic team. In this vital role, you will leverage your expertise in tax law, tax compliance, and financial accounting to provide exceptional tax services and consulting. As an Enrolled Agent, you will serve as a trusted advisor for clients, ensuring accurate tax reporting, compliance with regulatory standards, and strategic financial planning. This position offers an exciting opportunity to apply your technical accounting skills and financial acumen in a fast-paced environment dedicated to excellence and client success. Duties Prepare and review individual, corporate, and partnership tax returns with precision and attention to detail, ensuring full compliance with federal and state regulations. Conduct thorough tax research on complex issues such as estate planning, securities law, LIHTC (Low-Income Housing Tax Credit), and mergers & acquisitions to provide informed guidance. Assist clients with tax planning strategies that optimize their financial positions while adhering to current tax laws and regulations. Perform detailed audits of financial statements, including balance sheet reconciliation, general ledger accounting, and account analysis to verify accuracy. Communicate effectively with clients to explain tax obligations, regulatory requirements, and financial concepts clearly and confidently. Support clients in regulatory compliance accounting processes such as SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act) controls and GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles). Utilize advanced accounting software like Quicken or other financial tools for accurate data entry, reporting, and analysis. Provide guidance on estate planning matters including wills, trusts, and estate law to help clients protect their assets for future generations. Engage in financial report writing and interpretation to assist clients in understanding their financial health and compliance status. Experience Proven experience in public accounting or private sector finance with a focus on tax accounting, corporate tax expertise, or individual tax preparation. Strong background in accounting principles such as double entry bookkeeping, debits & credits, and technical accounting standards. Demonstrated knowledge of financial concepts including asset management, budgeting, investment analysis, and private equity. Familiarity with regulatory frameworks like SOX compliance and securities law is highly desirable. Excellent analysis skills with the ability to interpret complex financial statements and conduct account reconciliation efficiently. Experience working with various accounting software platforms such as Quicken or specialized tax reporting tools. Ability to communicate complex financial information clearly to clients of diverse backgrounds. A professional certification as an Enrolled Agent is required; additional credentials in estate planning or corporate accounting are a plus.
