Job Description

Location:
East Aurora, NY (Remote) We are currently seeking a Sales Tax Admin in East Aurora, NY. As a member of the Indirect US tax team, this role will be engaged in supporting various activities related to the filing of Sales/Use tax, unclaimed property filings and assisting in additional non-income tax related filing for US based companies handled within the U.S. Shared Services Center. The Sales Tax Admin will be collaborating with the offshore tax team as well as various internal departments. This position reports directly to the Manager MGSS, Tax.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Keep track of Due Date Listing to make sure all monthly, quarterly and annual submissions are on track, process payment vouchers and prepare mailings
  • Update state website information, submit electronic returns and corresponding payments, save filing backups and any state-related communications in relevant folders
  • Assist in gathering information and back-up for non-income related sales and use tax audits
  • Assist with various miscellaneous non-income related tax filings including but not limited to annual reports, business licenses, and unclaimed property reporting
  • Research requests for exempt documentation from Business Units and suppliers for validity
  • Provide high quality and efficient service to Mattel's internal and external customers

Skills:
Sales tax Tax filling/return.
Administrative Education/Experience:
Experience in accounting, finance, or a related field. Strong knowledge of PCs and software including Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to prioritize tasks while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail. Excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to work effectively with people at all levels in open office setting. Excellent verbal and communication skills. Demonstrated a growth mindset by staying curious and continuously learning, embracing challenges, and improving themselves.
