Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Tax Analyst to join our finance team. This role is essential in ensuring accurate tax reporting and adherence to relevant laws, including securities law and estate law. The Tax Analyst will work closely with various departments to support tax planning, compliance, and reporting activities. Responsibilities Prepare and review federal, state, and local tax returns to ensure compliance with applicable laws. Conduct account reconciliation to verify the accuracy of financial records related to tax obligations. Assist in regulatory reporting and ensure adherence to all relevant tax regulations. Collaborate with public accounting firms for audits and provide necessary documentation. Analyze financial data and provide insights on tax implications for business decisions. Support the development of tax strategies that align with organizational goals. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of changes in tax legislation and its impact on the organization. Utilize accounting software such as Quickbooks for efficient data management and reporting. Provide assistance in wills, trusts, and estate law matters as needed. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required. Proven experience in tax accounting or public accounting is preferred. Strong understanding of securities law and regulatory reporting requirements. Familiarity with technical accounting principles and practices. Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail for accurate financial reporting. Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment. Proficient in using accounting software; experience with Quickbooks is a plus. Strong communication skills to effectively convey complex tax information.
