Job Description

Tax SeniorPosition OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Tax Senior to lead tax compliance and planning engagements for a diverse portfolio of clients, including individuals, C corporations, S corporations and family offices. The Tax Senior will manage tax return preparation and review, coordinate with clients and internal teams, and ensure compliance with applicable tax laws and regulations while improving processes and mentoring junior staff.

Key ResponsibilitiesLead preparation and review of individual, partnership, S corporation, and C corporation tax returns and related schedulesManage end-to-end tax compliance for family office clients, including coordination of bookkeeping and accounting informationPerform technical tax research and apply tax law to client situations; prepare memos and recommendationsSupervise, train, and mentor junior staff; review staff work for accuracy, completeness, and complianceCommunicate proactively with clients to gather information, explain tax positions, and resolve issuesCoordinate and manage project timelines and filing deadlines to ensure timely delivery of workAssist with tax planning engagements, entity selection, and transaction structuring to minimize tax liabilitiesMaintain and improve tax preparation workflows and use tax software efficiently to increase quality and productivitySupport business development efforts by preparing proposals, participating in client meetings, and contributing to relationship-building activitiesQualificationsCPA license required3+ years of experience in public accounting with direct tax experience (individual, partnership, S corp, and C corp)Proven experience preparing and reviewing tax returns and related schedules; strong technical tax knowledgeStrong written and verbal communication skills; ability to explain complex tax issues to clientsExperience supervising and mentoring junior staff and managing multiple engagements and deadlinesProficiency with tax research tools and tax preparation software; strong Excel skillsDetail-oriented with excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities
