Job Description

Tax Senior | Hybrid | $80,000 - $100,000Position OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Tax Senior to lead client engagements and provide high-quality tax compliance and planning services. In this hybrid role, you will be responsible for preparing and reviewing federal and state tax returns, delivering strategic tax advice to businesses and high-net-worth individuals (HNWI), and mentoring junior staff. The ideal candidate ensures timely delivery of accurate work, maintains strong client relationships, and supports firm growth.
Key ResponsibilitiesTax Compliance:
Prepare and review federal and state tax returns, including Individual (1040), Partnership (1065), S-Corporation (1120S), and C-Corporation (1120) filings.
Engagement Management:
Lead tax engagements from planning through delivery; effectively manage timelines, budgets, and client communications.
Research & Advisory:
Conduct technical tax research on complex issues (e.g., partnership allocations, corporate tax matters) and deliver proactive planning/advisory services to mitigate risk and identify savings.
Team Leadership:
Review, supervise, and mentor staff accountants; provide constructive feedback, coaching, and on-the-job training.
Audit Support:
Coordinate with clients, external advisors, and tax authorities regarding audits, notices, and tax controversies.
QualificationsRequired:
Experience:
3+ years of public accounting or equivalent tax experience, with a proven track record of preparing and reviewing 1040, 1065, 1120S, and 1120 returns.
Tech Savvy:
Proficient with professional tax software, advanced Excel, and standard tax research tools.
Soft Skills:
Excellent project management, communication, and client service skills; ability to manage multiple deadlines with strong attention to detail.

Nice to
Have:
Active CPA license, EA credential, or progress toward obtaining them.

Deep familiarity with intricate partnership allocations and complex S-Corp specifics.

Prior experience acting in a senior or lead capacity within a tax practice.
