Responsibilities Provide high-level tax preparation, compliance, and annual tax planning services to a diverse portfolio of closely-held businesses, family-owned operations, and individual clients. Develop deep, consultative relationships with client stakeholders, looking objectively at their financial goals to identify strategic tax-planning and risk-management ideas. Oversee, review, and support multiple tax compliance engagements concurrently across key regional industry sectors, including automotive aftermarket, manufacturing, construction, and non-profit organizations. Manage strict compliance and filing deadlines, ensuring all client tax milestones are clearly outlined and met. Perform complex tax research, succession planning analysis, and special technical advisory projects. Assist in supervising, training, and coaching staff accountants, cultivating a supportive team environment focused on continuous learning. Collaborate effectively across our practice groups-including audit, advisory, and client accounting services-to deliver comprehensive financial support. Qualifications Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Master's in Taxation or Accountancy is a plus). Active CPA License (or significant progress toward obtaining it). 2-5+ years of public accounting experience, with a solid foundational background in corporate, partnership, and individual tax compliance. Exposure to or an interest in serving core client niches such as manufacturing, auto aftermarket/dealerships, construction, or non-profit entities. Excellent technical aptitude with modern tax preparation and research software.
