Company Description Grayson & Associates, P.C. is a newly founded CPA firm launched in May 2026 in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. We serve clients across a variety of industries, with a particular focus on construction contractors and not-for-profit organizations, along with real estate, manufacturing, and other industries. As a growing firm, we are building a team of high-quality professionals and offer a genuine path to leadership, and ultimately partnership, for the right people. We are selectively growing an A+ client base and are looking to add one or two strong hires as we build out our audit and tax practices. Role Description This is a full-time, hybrid role for a Tax Senior, based in our Murfreesboro office (requires at least 2-3 days per week in-office). We use CCH Axcess for tax preparation and workflow. This role is well suited to someone who wants to take on increasing responsibility for complex returns and client relationships, with a clear runway to grow into a Tax Manager role as our practice expands. Our tax growth strategy prioritizes quality over quantity: we are focused on serving business owners and their related entities, particularly in construction and the not-for-profit sector. Responsibilities Prepare and review tax returns for individuals, partnerships, corporations, S corporations, estates/trusts, and not-for-profit organizations, including construction contractor clients Support tax planning, projections, and estimates for business-owner clients Assist in training and mentoring tax staff Communicate directly with clients to gather information, answer questions, and manage expectations Assist in responding to IRS and state tax authority notices and correspondence Use CCH Axcess Tax software for return preparation and workflow management Qualifications CPA license, or actively pursuing CPA licensure (CPA-eligible / sitting for the exam) Bachelor's degree in accounting 2-4 years of tax experience in public accounting Experience with CCH Axcess or similar professional tax software is a plus Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills Compensation & Benefits Competitive compensation, commensurate with experience Firm-paid health, vision, and dental insurance A genuine path to advancement, including partnership potential, at a growing firm The opportunity to help shape the culture, systems, and client base of a new firm from the ground up Friday's off for most of summer months Hybrid work schedule
Pay:
$75,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
