Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and review complex tax returns for individuals, businesses, or organizations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with tax laws and regulations.
Tax Planning:
Collaborate with clients or internal teams to develop tax-efficient strategies to minimize tax liabilities and optimize financial outcomes.
Research:
Stay updated on tax laws, regulations, and changes to provide informed guidance and advice. Conduct research to resolve complex tax issues.
Client Communication:
Interact with clients, answering tax-related inquiries, providing advice, and maintaining strong client relationships.
Audits and Examinations:
Assist clients during tax audits or examinations by tax authorities, including preparing documentation and representing them as necessary.
Team Leadership:
Provide guidance and mentorship to junior tax associates, ensuring their professional development and growth.
Tax Reporting:
Prepare and analyze financial statements and tax provisions for clients or the organization.
Compliance Review:
Conduct internal reviews to ensure compliance with tax regulations and identify areas for improvement.
Tax Software:
Utilize tax software and tools to facilitate the preparation and filing of tax returns.
Qualifications:
Education:
A bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is typically required. CPA certification is often preferred.
Experience:
Several years of experience in tax preparation, tax planning, and compliance.
Tax Knowledge:
In-depth knowledge of federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations, including the ability to navigate complex tax codes.
Analytical Skills:
Strong analytical skills to review financial data, identify tax issues, and develop effective solutions.
