Staff Tax Analyst Cedillo income tax and notary Channelview, TX Job Details Seasonal 22 hours ago Qualifications Spanish English Full Job Description Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Staff Tax Analyst to join our financial team. In this role, you will play a vital part in managing complex tax processes, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and supporting strategic financial planning initiatives. Your expertise will help optimize tax efficiencies, interpret financial data, and contribute to the overall accuracy of our financial reporting. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills within a fast-paced, innovative environment dedicated to excellence in financial management. Responsibilities Prepare and review tax filings, including estate planning documents, ensuring compliance with current securities law and tax regulations Assist with corporate accounting functions such as general ledger reconciliation, balance sheet analysis, and regulatory reporting Support auditing processes by providing detailed documentation and conducting account analysis for internal and external audits Manage tax accounting activities related to mergers & acquisitions, private equity transactions, and other complex financial arrangements Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, and other financial software to maintain accurate records and perform account reconciliation Conduct financial report writing and interpretation to support management decision-making and strategic planning Perform analysis of financial concepts including GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles), double entry bookkeeping, and asset management practices Experience Proven experience in tax experience with a strong understanding of tax accounting principles and regulations Background in public accounting or corporate accounting roles involving auditing, regulatory reporting, or financial statement preparation Familiarity with estate planning, wills, trusts & estate law is a plus Demonstrated skills in analysis, account reconciliation, budgeting, and financial report interpretation Knowledge of SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act) compliance standards and non-profit accounting is advantageous Proficiency with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, or similar platforms Strong understanding of securities law, mergers & acquisitions processes, and financial services industry practices Must be fluent in Spanish and English Join us if you're passionate about leveraging your financial expertise to drive strategic growth while maintaining the highest standards of compliance.
